Principal's Message

 

Dear Alderwood Community,

I am honored and humbled to serve as the Principal of Alderwood Elementary. Alderwood is a community dedicated to increasing student achievement in an environment where our core values of integrity, trustworthiness, collaboration, and empowerment are embedded in student learning. The vision we have for our school is one of shared leadership and responsibility. A vision cultivated by a positive and engaging culture that promotes the highest level of academic excellence for all students.

Alderwood is exceptional due to the partnership, commitment and camaraderie among our students, staff and community. Each stakeholder plays a vital role in maximizing the potential and success of all students. It has been a privilege to form relationships with students, families, and community members and I look forward to strengthening these relationships and forming new ones in the year to come.

One of the most important components of an exceptional school is parent involvement. At Alderwood we will continue to encourage all members of our community to participate in our school programs. We welcome our families on campus to volunteer in our classroom, help with school events, and become active in our PTA. The partnership of our parent community and school is essential as we move forward in supporting student learning, achievement and social growth.
